On March 17th, 2025, the second meeting of the LAARC initiative took place.
Led by CERC within the framework of the Academic Research Consortium, this initiative aims to standardize definitions and clinical trial endpoints used in studies evaluating stroke prevention through left atrial appendage closure and/or new anticoagulant therapies.
This meeting gathered key stakeholders in the field, including international medical experts, representatives from global regulatory authorities, and major industry partners.
The work carried out will lead to a landmark consensus, serving as a reference standard for future clinical studies and marking a significant milestone in this field.
