We are pleased to announce the successful treatment of the first patient in the FIH IPERF-01 first-in-human study.
This clinical investigation evaluates the IPERF femoral arterial cannula, an innovative device featuring a novel dual-flow technology designed to enable simultaneous perfusion of the upper body and distal limb, aiming to reduce the risk of lower-limb ischemia during extracorporeal circulation.
Congratulations to Prof Fabien Doguet and his team at Hôpital Privé Jacques Cartier (Massy) for performing the first procedure.
Sponsored by IPERF, this study will assess the safety of the device in patients undergoing planned cardiac surgery requiring extracorporeal circulation via a femoral approach.
